Desktop Calendar is a nice gadget for your desktop that shows a calendar on your desktop. The calendar can be moved all across the screen and offers two sizes: a small one that is placed on the right side of your screen, and you can enlarge it to see the big one. You can select its color and customize the start day of the week, customize categories and data features. Creating events is really simple and intuitive. You just have to click on any day and a dialog will open, allowing you to create a new event or modify the existing ones. You can select a title for the event that will appear on the calendar, enter a brief description, assign a category with a distinctive color and select repetition. You can also set alerts to remind you of your events.
What is more, the calendar features a nice and intuitive user interface with beautiful graphics and excellent sounds.
In short, Desktop Calendar is a simple but nice calendar for your desktop that includes basic functions. This version is for Windows Vista and 7, but you can get an older one for Windows XP on the developer's website.
